The adventure design workshop provides a thorough and robust method you can use to create an adventure. The workshop combines resources in the books appendix and the Adventure Design Procedure (ADP). The ADP is a step-by-step procedure for creating an adventure. Most of the theories used to create the ADP are similar to visual design techniques. The ADP assumes that human behavior has characteristics which are exemplified by both art and adventure. These characteristics include the need for dominance, opposition, balance, unity, rhythm, and personal growth.
